Last Night Out is a battery-powered, hardcore disco e.p. recorded by Battery Disco aka, dMH over a three day period in February of 2020 at home in Dublin, Ireland. The focus of this recording was to have a good time and return to the excitement and naivety of not quite knowing what I was doing when I first got my hands on two Korg Volca beat machines: the bass and drums. I added a bunch of extra guitar pedal effects including some echo and bass overdrive, a Boss bass synth and an EHX chorus. All of the recordings were done live and in one take with a minimum of post-production limited to (mostly) editing and fade in and out’s in addition to some very basic mastering and final eqing.

The titles come from an imagined night out with friends and begins with the track, 'better out than in love’ which, as you can imagine, focuses on the post-barf euphoria that signals tonight is going to be a long one and as for tomorrow? Well, let’s get through tonight and worry about that issue tomorrow.
